An afternoon History/Drama workshop is the perfect accompaniment to a morning performance. Lasting the full afternoon and able to involve all the children studying the topic, workshops are fun, educational and capture the role-playing enthusiasm of the show.

 

• We begin with a Q&A session about the show.  Expanding on the Legend Theatre actors, company and the history in the storyline, fact or fiction.

 

• The children are soon up and moving around observing and learning some of the drama and theatre techniques seen in the show. Mime, voice, action-reaction and sound effects.  Working solo, paired and in groups.

 

• The final part of the workshop gives a chance for anything previously made by the class, costumes etc to be used in roleplay.  These props are combined with the companies to bring a period scene to life. Weather it’s a Tudor street scene, Ancient Greek agora or a Viking settlement the afternoon peaks with the actors returning in character to interact with the groups scenes.

 

• The cost  of a workshop would be £100 ( total for full day including show £295)
